Shirley Strickland Cloud, age 76 of Lithia Springs passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lithia Springs, retired from Douglas County Board of Education after 30 plus years. Survived by Read Obituary
We didn't always agree, but I could always count on my mom to be there under any circumstances. She would drop what she was doing to help me whenever I needed her. This past couple of weeks was the first time in my life that she was unable to attend a surgery I had on my eye which sadly kept me from being with her on thanksgiving. I'm not quite sure how I will go forward without her constant support. But to honor her memory we will figure it out. I can't express how much I miss her. She was a part of my everyday life.

Shirley always had a smile and laughter on the outside and inside. She loved the special education students. Shirley was very proud of her family and talked about them often. I know she has a special place in heaven reserved for the best! Prayers to you all. Ellen Morrow (former co-worker)

I saw Shirley not too long ago and even thou she was not well, her spirit was not broken. I could always count on her during school testing time to lift me up. You couldn’t be around her without smiling. She was in inspiration to me and will be greatly missed.
My heart goes out to her family during this difficult time. My God surround you with his embrace. I’m sure she is already stirring things up in heaven!
