I am so sorry to learn about your mother's death. She and your dad were far and away mom and dad's favorite people from seminary, and their friendship endured their lifetime. I can't remember the last time I saw you all, it seems like maybe it was in Montreat.
Hang on to the great memories of your mom and dad, they were exceptional people.
Maybe we will catch up one of these days.

Please know how much I'm thinking of all of you, and how much we loved you mother. She was such a dear friend to my mother, and I know they're now happy together again talking about how bad Mike is!
Remember all the special times, and keep your memories alive - she was a special lady and really helped me through my grief after my mother died.

I want to express my sincere sympathy for the loss of your loved one and I hope the following suggestions help the family members and those who loved Shirley Adams to lessen their grief.
• Talk about your feelings to “a true companion” who will listen patiently and sympathetically.
• If you have feelings of guilt thinking that some neglect on your part contributed to your loved one’s death, realize, though, that no matter how much we love another person, we cannot prevent “time and unforeseen occurrence from befalling those we love. (Ecclesiastes 9:11)
More than anything else, a relationship with God can help you to cope with the death of someone you love. Isaiah 33:24 promises the time when an end to sickness will become a reality. God will put an end to pain, suffering and even DEATH. God promises at Isaiah 25:8 that death will be swallowed up forever.##imported-begin##S Lee##imported-end##

Marianne and I loved seeing all of you on Tuesday night. It brought back so many wonderful childhood memories at your house, our house and at First Presbyterian. Your mother had such a positive impact on our lives. Let's plan to get together in the near future.##imported-begin##Deanie May Fincher##imported-end##
