I met Mama Medley around 1965 .I had become friends with her oldest son Earl . We both had motorcycles and rode many hours together . Her husband Donald was a great guy , he spent a lot of time with Earl an I , Mama Medley kept a close watch on Earl and I , but we did manage to get a few things by her . She always had us a cold drink or snack before we would head off to the Honda trail . A place just down from their house . Y'ALL PUT THEM HELMETS ON OR YOU AIN'T GOING ANYWHERE , she would always say . My parents weren't into MC's at the time so Mr. Medley an Mama Medley would take me to all the hill climbs an moto-crosses with them and he even worked on my MC some . I dearly loved them both . After about 6 months I mentioned my dad rode and raced at the old Lakewood fairgrounds . Donald then put the names together and we realized both of Earl's parents rode with my parents back in the day . I have a picture of my dad an Donald from the 50's with the club .I visited them later on a couple times an even took my son to meet them . That's how much I thought of them both . The last time I saw Toni was at a music event in Austell a couple of years ago . She told me to come see her an told me about where she lived. I rode by there a couple of months ago but didn't stop because I wasn't sure which house exactly . I told my self I would get better directions from her on FB but I never did . I WISH I HAD .. When I hear thunder from now on ,I'll think of her an him up there SQUARE DANCING . RIP SWEET LADY AN TELL DON I SAID HEY ...
