Ruth Lankford's Obituary
Ruth Creed Lankford passed away March 28, 2013 at the age of 97. Mrs. Lankford moved to Hiram two years ago from Greensboro, NC, where she lived all her life. She retired from Cone Mills, Corp and was a member of Lankford Memorial Baptist Church, both in Greensboro.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara “Bobbie” Lankford Thompson of Hiram; grandchildren, Sherry & David Maner of Powder Springs, Jay Thompson of Hiram, and Todd & Rene Thompson of Powder Springs; great grandchildren, Jason New, Karen & Aaron Homan, Jacob & Brittney Thompson, and Daniel Maner; great-great-grandchildren, Matthew Anderson, Jonah Homan, Caiden Thompson, and Halle Thompson.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 4 until 7 PM. The funeral service to honor her life will be held in Greensboro NC on Monday, April 1, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the graveside of Lakeview Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Bill Smith officiating.
