Ronald G. “Slim” Langford, age 57 of Dallas, passed away August 8, 2011. Slim retired from Bell South after 31 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Pat Langford and is survived by his wife of 18 years, Jennifer M Read Obituary

Jennifer, this is Warren again. I am so sorry for your loss. I can picture Slim. I loved to hear him laugh, which he did a lot while I worked with him. He was a good instructor to me in Sub Station Protection @ BellSouth. I regret not seeing him more than I did in the last several years, since we retired. He was a GOOD Friend to me. Very smart. Slim was a unique person, once you met him you didn't ever forget him, and once anyone spent any time with him you usually had a Slim story. He will truly be missed and anytime Slim was around everything seemed better somehow.

Slim was truly one of a kind and he'll be missed greatly. I knew Slim from his days at Bellsouth and he serviced our 911 telephone system when I worked for Paulding County. He was one of the true professionals from the old Bellsouth day and was such an asset to us because he had the skills to solve any issue we ever had.
I moved on from Paulding County a while back and now work in state government and although we lost touch it was great to cross paths with him again unexpectedly a few years back. He caught me up to speed that he retired from Bell and moved on to help the guys at Anderson Power and it was great to see him enjoying new challenges even in his time of retirement.
Again he is one of a kind and I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing.##imported-begin##Nick Brown##imported-end##
