Robert W. "Bob" Shirley Sr.'s Obituary
Robert Wesley "Bob" Shirley, Sr., age 80 of Lithia Springs, passed away September 13, 2012. Bob was a member of West Metro Church of God; he retired from GA Dept. of Labor; and was the owner & operator of Shirley’s Christian Book Store in Mableton for over twenty years. This wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley Jorman Shirley; children: Renae & husband Vince Forrester of Kennesaw, Robert Wesley Shirley, Jr. & wife, Jan of Jonesboro, Stephen Scott Shirley, Sr. & wife, Dee of Acworth; grandchildren: Brooke Nelson, Michelle Forrester, Chip Shirley, Chad Shirley, Cherish Sundquist, Allie Shirley, Stephen Shirley, Jr.; and thirteen great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 4 – 8 PM and Sunday from 12:30 – 2:00 PM. The funeral service to honor his life will be held at Davis-Struempf Chapel on Sunday, September 16, 2012 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Glenn Rountree officiating. Interment will follow in Mt.
