I am so sorry for the family's loss. I did not know Mr. Melton but I worked with his son-in-law (Jody). I just would like to say my condolences go out to the family and you are all in my prayers.
Richard Melton was a great man in every sense of the word. I worked with Richard for many years and he was always kind and helpful on the job. His kindness extended past the job. When Richard found out that my mother had cancer, he talked to me on several occasions to find out how she was and how I was doing. He had recently lost a loved one to cancer at that time. He told me all of the things to expect and even through I didn’t want to accept it, those talks really helped me. He always encouraged me to take the time I needed to be with my mother and after she passed, to grieve. When Richard retired, I’d occasionally see him at Wallace’s Barbecue. A few times he was alone and would sit with us. He always kept us laughing telling stories. I haven’t seen Richard in a couple of years but he is thought of often and he will be missed. We do know that Richard is receiving his crown in Heaven. May he Rest In Peace. Sending much love to those he leaves behind.
I loved this man I meet him at the Fountain and everyday he would come into the room and sat down. After a few days I would go get him a banana or bring him some m&m . We called him pops. I looked forward to his smile every day. He will be truly missed and I know he was loved. Heather you did a wonderful caring place in your dad life. My prayers are with you and your family during this time and always he left a message for all of us to love and smile. Thank you for letting me spend a little time with him. GOD bless you all.
Richard was one of the smartest men that I ever knew . I remember many at the office seeking help with their computer or needing him to solve a problem . I know how much he loved his family because he bragged on them often . I will miss him but I will see him again .
