Pearl Dillingham's Obituary
Mrs. Pearl Cannon Dillingham age 93 of Austell, Georgia passed away July 12, 2014 at Presbyterian Village. Mrs. Dillingham was born in Fruithurst, Alabama on March 21, 1921. The family later moved to Clarkdale, Georgia where she worked at the Coats and Clark Threadmill and lived in “The Village”. For twenty five years she and her husband Finis ran Dillingham Cleaners in Austell. After retiring from the cleaners she opened her own beauty shop in her home. She loved flowers, her animals and her home. She always put her family’s needs first.
She was preceded in death by her husband Finis Y. Dillingham and her Son Doug Dillingham. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Phyllis and Ken Price of Austell, nephew Bill and Parr Pinkard of Woodstock and their children, niece Katherine Wallace of Dunbar, Nebraska and special friend Hazel Taylor of Austell who was her housekeeper and caregiver.
Our family would like to thank all of the staff and nurses of Presbyterian Village and Crossroads Hospice for all their love and dedication. Visitation will be at Davis Struempf Funeral Home, 1975 East West Connector Austell from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Tuesday July 15th with services at 3:00 PM. Graveside services at Rose Hill Cemetery in Austell immediately following.
