Mrs. Pearl Cannon Dillingham age 93 of Austell, Georgia passed away July 12, 2014 at Presbyterian Village. Mrs. Dillingham was born in Fruithurst, Alabama on March 21, 1921. The family later moved to Clarkdale, Georgia where she w Read Obituary

Through my sister Hazel, I feel as if I knew Mrs. Pearl. From this relationship I know that she was a wonderful woman and a woman of peace.
Phyllis, Ken, and Hazel, I pray that you find comfort through the memories of the life that Mrs. Pearl lived and loved.

I met Mrs.Pearl and Phyllis in 2004 through Mrs. Pearl's late sister, Mrs. Dell who was my next door neighbor. Mrs. Pearl knew of my friendship with her sister and therefore asked that I encourage Mrs. Dell to see a doctor. From this, our friendship grew and blossomed. Mrs. Pearl would call me and talk. We had many long and personal discussions. She trusted me and I trusted her.
Our friendship included shopping, doctor visits, and cleaning her home. She would give me advice and I would give her advice. I could count on her support to pick up my youngest son Josh from school and keep him if I needed her to do so. Mrs. Pearl was my friend, a true confidant and even a "mother" at times. I and my family loved her dearly. She will be missed. I will forever treasure the special memories we made together.

Phyllis you have been through so much with the illness of Miss Pearl over the last year. She was a true fighter right to the end. Phyllis, you are a wonderful daughter and stood by her every single day. I know she was proud of you and all that you have done for her. She will be missed by all her knew her and now she is no longer suffering and is at peace. Bless you and Ken during this most difficult time. I love you, Always, Always.
I met Miss D. over 40 years ago, after her daughter Phyllis and I became friends, after meeting at AT&T where we both worked. When Miss D learned that I was moving to Austell, from Atlanta, she wanted to knit a throw for me and she wanted to know what colors did i want, i told her yellow and green, because it would match the colors of my sofa in the family room, and it was beautiful, and i still have it, i will truly miss talking to her, she was such a joy to talk to. and want my friend Phyllis and family to know that your loss, also is a loss to me, you are in my prayers and thoughts.
