Nellie Ruth Leach, age 99, of Austell passed away October 2, 2016. Nellie was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, a Golden Gems singer, and care taker of Shady Grove Cemetery. She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Debo Read Obituary

Nellie Leach the Georgia Peach is what Ms Nellie always started her conversation with me on the phone. She was such a warm and lovely lady to all who knew her. Whistle all the way to heaven Ms Nellie. We will miss you.

Nellie Leach, the Georgia peach! One of my all time favorite people! She had a permanent smile, a positive attitude and a joyful spirit. She loved life, people, her family, her friends, her church and God. I asked her once what she attributed her long, healthy life to and her response was laughter. She certainly did a lot of that! I'm so thankful to have known her and and shared in some of her life and laughter! Love and prayers to her family!
