Nancy Lynn Young's Obituary
Nancy Lynn Young, age 67, of Kennesaw passed away Wednesday, April 17th, 2024.
Nancy enjoyed life with a smile and a hug (and often times a snort lol). She loved to travel to see her family, to see new places, and meet new people. She graduated from Rolling Meadows High School in Rolling Meadows, IL. After high school, Nancy joined the working force primarily in the mortgage field. Later in life she served as a Waffle House server where she formed special relationships with a number of regular patrons.
Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Young and her parents Herbert & Margaret Parks.
She is survived by her husband of 2 years, Stanley Hunter of Kennesaw; son Jason Young (Magdalena) and grandchildren Isabelle, Jacob and Lucas of Marietta, GA; son Justin Young (Jessica) and grandchildren Payton, Blake and Kane of Frankfort, IL; son Jeremy Young (Cristina) and granddaughter Jayleigh of Pensacola, FL; and son Joshua Young and granddaughters Jaila Robins and Myla Young of Palm Beach, FL; sister Jackie Orenstein (Lee) of Woodstock, IL; brother Carl Parks of Tempe, AZ; sister Cathy Montes (Diego) of South Elgin, IL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Nancy Young loved and cherished her husband, Stan, her four boys and their father and late husband, Jerome. What she loved more than anything on Earth were her grandchildren Izzy, Jacob, Lucas, Payton, Blake, Kane, Jayleigh, Jaila and Myla. It was her grandchildren that gave her life meaning after the passing of her husband. Nancy also enjoyed cooking and being around family and friends. Always looking to help others, “no” was not in her vocabulary. For these reasons, Nancy was very loved and will truly be missed.
Rest in Peace, Ma.
The family will receive family and friends at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home on Monday, April 22nd from 12:00 – 2:00 PM with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 PM. In Lieu of flowers, a memorial site was established to assist with the funeral expenses.
