Lueyco “Preston” Greer, age 84 of Austell passed away December 12, 2014. He was a member of Austell First United Methodist Church. Preston served in the Korean War and was a member of the Chosin Few. He is survived by his wife, Pa Read Obituary
I only knew Judy's parents for a very short time but they opened their hearts to me immediately. Mr. Greer was such a warm and caring man and always had a story to tell and an ear to listen.
With his passing, there is such a void for the family that I am so keenly aware of from my own experience. But I do believe that Mr. Greer is up in heaven telling all those stories to all the angels that will listen and still has an ear to listen to any stories told to him!
My heart goes out to Mrs. Greer in this time of grief. There are no words that I can say that will ease the pain of your loss. I hope that your years of marriage and the good memories the two of you shared will help you along the way.

Preston always had a smile on his face every time i saw him. it didnt matter if i was in a bad mood seeing him and talking to him at church always made my day better. every hug he gave me, he always said i was the prettiest girl there. he would then lean over to patsy and tell her i was his girlfriend. i cant believe hes gone.

He taught me more than he could ever know.

I met Preston, Judy's father and John & Audrey's grandfather, several years ago when we lived next door to one another in Alpharetta. Preston was a kind and gentle man and a number one fan of his grandchildren! He attended their games and concerts and in his eyes I could see a deep and enduring love. You will be missed Preston.
I enjoyed every minute I was able to share with " Preston ", he was a veteran of the battle of the " Chosin Resevoir " in Korea, I am a combat veteran of Vietnam, we shared a common bond although with entirely different conflicts, I have the upmost respect for him, he was a joy to be around and I will surely miss seeing him, he always had a big smile on his face, Godspeed Preston !!
