Lawrence Totherow's Obituary
Mr. Lawrence Totherow, age 78 of Villa Rica, formerly of Mableton, passed away July 23, 2013. Lawrence was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where he served as deacon. He retired from General Motors after 30 years where he was known as "Tootsie Roll." He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and especially gardening.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his wives, Mildred Towe Totherow and Alwaine Burnette Totherow. He is survived by his children: Greg Totherow of Smyrna, Robby Totherow of Smyrna, Mary Lou & Steve Hamrick of Buchannan, Geneva & Michael Richardson of Winston; grandchildren: Derek Totherow, Diana Hamrick, Daniel Hamrick, and Kevin Hamrick; great-grandchildren: Trenden Totherow; Rosemary, Rachael, and Rebekuh Hamrick; sisters, Rozene Barnes of Hampton, and Betty Jean Picklesimer of NC.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 until 8 PM. The funeral service to honor his life will be held at Davis-Struempf Chapel on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Tommy Young officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
