Cissy & Dan & family --- I was so sorry to learn of your mother's death. She was a wonderful woman, and such a help to me, growing up next door to her. I am so sorry I lost touch with her after she moved from Darlington Rd. One of my best "mental" pictures of her was how beautiful she looked all dressed up for a special anniversary dinner with your father. Kerry Lockerman, one of her helpers after she could not drive, went to church with me and let me know how June was doing. But, we moved to Wilmington, NC, in 1997 and lost touch with Kerry until Facebook. When my son, Jack, was young, and very hyperactive, I took him to meet "Miss Junie". After a short time of watching Jack run all over the place, fall down and climb anything he saw, June said, "Suzanne, as much as I love seeing you and meeting Jack, my heart won't stand another Georgie Spence. Please come back by yourself and visit.". She took a bleeding George III and my mother to the emergency room several times. Please get in touch with me after life settles down for you.
