Thinking of you today. Miss you my man!
Dearest VanAntwerp family,
I write with tearful eyes & really haven't the words to express the sadness I feel for you, Olivia, Avery, & everyone else whom John graced in his short life. We've only met just a few times during school functions for the rug rats. While picking up Maximus from pre-k this past Monday I commented to him as he entered the car, "where's your smile? I missed you today... did you miss me?" & he said "I missed Olivia & I'm sad" Their teacher Miss Jessica went on to elaborate. Life certainly throws us curve balls & I'm quickly reminded today of just how precious every moment truly is. Maximus has spoken about Olivia every day this week which isn't out of the ordinary, however it's 'how' he speaks of her that's changed. I am blown away by just how much a five year old is capable of feeling & noticing. He's home with a fever today & I thought this would be a good time to take a few moments to google John's obituary since all I had was word of mouth from Miss Jessica & Maximus. So.... here I am rambling. John most certainly struck me as a calm, happy, & confident person. The two of you walked right on up to me with huge smiles on your faces to introduce yourselves & I felt comfortable in your presence right from the start. Sometimes you can just 'feel' the goodness & positivity radiating from someone & that I did the few times we've attended pre-k functions! We are & will continue to keep your family in our thoughts & prayers.
~ Love, Light, & Bright Blessings to you Elaine, Olivia, & Avery~
Warmly,
Mrs. Emelie LeCroy##imported-begin##Mr. & Mrs. Luke LeCroy ~ Maximus' parents##imported-end##
There aren't words to describe to you the loss that I feel...and I can't even begin to imagine the loss you must feel.
I worked with John at SunTrust bank for a number of years.
John could brighten your day with just a smile. One of the things I remember most was how his eyes lit up whenever he spoke of his wife and 2 little girls.
He made such an impact on people's lives. He will remain in my thoughts and the family in my prayers.
I am truly sorry for your loss.##imported-begin##Vicki Bass##imported-end##
Elaine, we are so sorry for your loss. John was a great friend of ours for many years. Brad and John went to middle school together and we were so glad when we learned that after all those years we ended up living just down the street from each other. John would stop by the shop, sometimes I think just to make us laugh. He was such a wonderful person and we are truly going to miss him. We are here for you and the girls, anytime for anything, you just let us know what you need. With love, Brad, Mandy, Dylan and Dalton Whitmore##imported-begin##Brad and Mandy Whitmore##imported-end##

Elaine and family, my heart goes out to you. I have talked with John on several occassions when security issues arose at SunTrust. He was always so pleasant and knew his job well. Know that John is now watching over you and the girls and may this give you comfort at this most difficult time. Hold on to your precious memories and one day you will meet again. You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.##imported-begin##Michelle Adams##imported-end##
