John Timothy Townsend, known affectionately as 'Tim,' 61, of Powder Springs, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, December 10th, 2023, at 11:38 PM due to full cardiac arrest. He was born in Austell, GA on August 2nd, 1962, to parents R Read Obituary
That's me and you pops about 34 years ago. I miss you just as much as the day I heard you say your last words, 2 long years ago... each day is a struggle without you dad... i promised myself i wouldn't cry this Christmas season.. and really try to be in the Geniune festive spirit. We even put Christmas lights up on the house this year.. granny and Granddaddy would have loved it.. but ill never have a truly happy Christmas ever again.. you really were my number one cheerleader to keep pushing forward, to do better; always... I love you dad. Please watch over us, especially Aiden.... middle school is hard for him. I just wish you were here to help encourage him along the way. I love you for ever and always... tell granny and Granddaddy I love and miss them so much too.. until we all meet again..

I am so sorry to hear about your daddy. Tim was always so kind and loved his kids! If you need anything please let me know I love you and I will keep your families in my prayers.
My thoughts and prayers are with Tim's family during this time. May God comfort you all in the day's ahead. I've known Tim over 50 years growing up on Garrett road next to The Townsend family. I never forget the time Bigfoot chased us outta the Sweetwater creek swamps as Tim was gassing his Kawasaki motorcycle while I was dangling on trying to hang on the back. Okay we were 7 and 9 years old thereabouts and till this day I think it was definitely a swamp creature. The moral of my story, never forget your friends and treasure life's memories and whatever you do always always trust in Jesus Christ because I know Tim is in the presence of the Lord now. Rest in heavenly peace Tim I'll see you soon, it's never goodbye.
