John Willie Mock's Obituary
John Willie Mock, age 91, of Mableton passed away July 15, 2020. John was a long-time member of Cruselle-Freeman Church of the Deaf. He retired from the United States Postal Service, where he was the first deaf person in Georgia to work in the postal service. In his free time, he loved to garden and tinker with his lawn equipment.
John is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ann Chadwick Mock. He is survived by his daughters, Pam Harris of Elkton, FL, and Linda Manston of Dallas; grandchildren, Marie DeJesus, Julie Barrett, Jonathan Harris, Michele Harris, Heather Donovan, and Sam Manston; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 19, 1:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Riverview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends before the service from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Cruselle-Freeman Church of the Deaf, 1034 Allene Avenue SW, Atlanta, Ga 30310.
