John and Betty were some of my parents best friends, as my mom knew them both from childhood attending Georgia School for the Deaf. My memories of the entire Mock family are wonderful and warm, and I'm so thankful John was a big part of my life growing up. I remember the last time I saw John. Ten years ago, as I was driving from Texas to South Carolina, I decided to see if I could remember where their home was, and try to find it from memory (prior to this, the last time I'd been to the Mock family home was in 1984). I found it with no problem, and a great visit with John followed.
Knowing what an incredible human being he is, he'll be missed by all who knew him.
Much love to all his family and friends. I know one day we shall meet again and maybe, just maybe, I'll have the guts to try to eat hot peppers raw. :)
Love,
