Mr. John “Shawn” Hamilton Mitchell, age 58, of Cedartown, GA passed away June 12, 2016. John was an avid HAM radio operator and enjoyed listening to the police scanner. From an early age, he enjoyed music and played bass guitar in Read Obituary
I am deeply sorry for your loss. May the God of all comfort bring you peace and comfort during this most difficult time. 2 Corinthians 3,4 says in part " the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, 4 (verse) who comforts us in all our trials... " God will give you the comfort you need.
When Arlene and I were little we enjoyed talking and laughing with you, and I'm blessed to have known you and to have been given the opportunity to make those memories. We had so much fun when we would go to your Mom and Dad's and when we would see you guys at Granny and Grandad's. I have no doubt you are spreading joy and laughter in Heaven now with your Mom, Dad, and Joe, and that you are at peace. You will be loved and missed here until we meet again.

When Darlene and I were little and we would go to dinner at your parents house, or run into you at our grandparents house you were always so good to us. I remember when we were teenagers and I had gone to see the movie Coma. The people were put into comas through the oxygen coming from a line marked 8. Mom and Darlene and I came to see you in the hospital the next day and your oxygen line was marked on the wall with the #8. I flipped out and told you that under no circumstances were you to let them give you oxygen in that room...You laughed at me, of course. I worried about you until mom told me you were home. I've never forgotten how we would talk and laugh. I know you are in Heaven now With your Mom and Dad and Joe and all is well with you, but you will be loved and missed here until we see you again.
