James Robert McIntosh's Obituary
James Robert McIntosh, 77, of Mableton, Georgia, passed away Friday, February 21, 2014. Robert was born July 31,1936 in Douglasville, Georgia to James B. and Martha McIntosh. He graduated From Douglas County High School in 1954. Robert retired from Norfolk Southern Railway in May of 2001 and was presently working at Wal-Mart in Powder Springs. Robert was a family man who loved nothing more than to see his two daughters and spend time with his five grandchildren. He was an immediate friend to all he met and will be missed by so many.
A celebration of his life service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home, 1975 East-West Connector, Austell, Georgia 30106. Visitation will precede the service at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Ephesus Baptist Church in Douglasville. Memorial Donations may be sent to Calvary Children’s Home, 1430 Lost Mountain Road, Powder Springs, Georgia 30127 in honor of James Robert McIntosh.
Robert is survived by his two daughters, Schelli (Scott) Hutchinson and Chrissy (Phil) Holden. Five Grandchildren Ashlyn, Abbey and Will Hutchinson and Madison and Sydney Holden. Four siblings Maurica McIntosh, Nina Turner, Becky Barden and Marvin McIntosh.
