Dr. James A. Griffith, of Mableton GA, formerly Guntersville Alabama passed away March 20th at his home in Mableton. Beloved father, friend and physician who practiced medicine in Hiram, Powder Springs and Mableton for 67 years. A Read Obituary
27 July 2017: I am just finding out about this now. His son, Jim, introduced me to him many years ago, and I took a liking to him. I'm so sorry that he has passed away. He clearly touched a lot of people.
I attended UGA with James A. Griffith, Jr. (son) many years ago. I have lost contact with him and have been searching for him. If anyone can help me find my friend, please communicate with me through my email ([email protected]). Any contact information would be appreciated.

I was so sad to hear of Dr. Griffith passing away 😞He delivered my brother in 55 and myself in 66. I loved him so much! The only good part of being sick was being able to get a coke from his machine all those years. Even my own children enjoyed that. I went by to see him a couple of years ago, I told him I had dreamed about him, so I wanted to see him and tell him I loved him... I hugged him and he took my hand and kissed it. Such a gentle soul! We were so honored to celebrate the life and the passing of Dr. James A. Griffith yesterday at his funeral and graveside with Paul being a pall bearer laying this Icon to rest in Arab Alabama. We were honored by the life he lived serving and loving people as "God's Beloved Physician" and another signage stating "May my life speak for me" described this Great Doctor exactally. Thank you for allowing us to serve and honor you as you served and honor others as "God Beloved Physican" may you rest in Peace as you hear our father say "Well done my good and faithful servant" You will be greatly missed by many! He was the most kind and compassionate Doctor and man I have ever known. He always took his time with me and never made me feel I was there too long. I will miss him and I loved him. I know he was ready to go home, and now God has a special angel. ... Sara
Dr. Griffith was our family doctor for over 40 years. I still went to him up until his retirement. He was the most caring , sweetest man I have known. He will be greatly missed. Our prayers are with the Griffith Family and his wonderful nurses Stephanie and Chelsea.
