James Ewing Chapman Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. James Ewing "Jim" Chapman, Jr, age 62 of Austell, passed away September 29, 2012. Jim was a special education teacher at South Cobb High School for eighteen years before is retirement. He loved to play pool, was an avid reader, and a huge Atlanta Braves fan. Jim is survived by his daughter, Lori & Rafael of Woodstock; son, James Chapman, III & Barbara of Powder Springs; sister, Valora Vanderver & Wayne of Dallas; brother, Tony Chapman & Michelle of Cumming; nieces; nephews; and his beloved dogs, Mica and Caesar. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 to 8 PM. The funeral service to honor his life will be at Davis-Struempf Chapel on Monday, October 1, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Georgia Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, P. O. Box 100, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148 (www.stjude.org/tribute).
