I'm sorry for your loss. I was in his home room from 92-96 and always remember Mr. Chapman as a very nice and funny man. He helped the 20 or so of us that had him start our days off good for four years in a row. When I ran into him after graduation a few times outside of school he always spoke and remembered me. I was sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Jim Chapman. My son was in his home room back in the early 90's. I remember him being very kind and my son thought highly of him. You are all in my prayers. He was one of the good ones... Donnie Newsom
I never had Mr. Chapman, but some of my friend's did and they all seemed very fond of him. RIP.
Jim was a compassionate and thoughtful man, and a great friend to his co-workers. He somehow managed to find a quiet chuckle with the frequent antics of his students. And he was always proud of the accomplishments of his children, Lori and Jamie.
He enjoyed a Swiss & mushroom burger on infrequent work days off-campus. And I'm sure he would be well-pleased with the inclement weather as Jim usually extolled the pleasures of a "rainy" day. He was a quiet, exceptional human being; a true pleasure.
