Everyone that knew him, knew him in a special way and he always had a special greeting for each one. He will truly be missed. He worked for me in the 80's and we shared our love of birds. We fished together, although he was not a very good fisherman, but he always tried. Everything he done, he did wholeheartedly with that special smile of his. I'll miss you buddy!! See you on the other side my friend.##imported-begin##Milton Higgins##imported-end##

I think everyone in Mableton knew Herbie. I'll never forget him, his love for cars, his love for animals & his love for his family. It was a joy to live across the street from the Smith's. Never a dull moment on White Blvd during the 60's & 70's while we all were growing up. I always thought it was so neat when someone would get ready to leave their house, they always had to do a burnout! Oh what memories! Herbie, I know your walking in God's kingdom with my son Joshua, my Daddy, our neighbor Hoyt & especially your Daddy. I just wish I knew what you clowns are talking about right now! You now have a new body, walk on those streets of gold my friend!##imported-begin##LaNette Bruner##imported-end##
Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.
My thoughts and prayers are with you Sharon and also to Herbie's family in your time of sorrow.##imported-begin##Robin Parks Young##imported-end##
