Mr. Harold L. Wallace, age 81, of Lithia Springs died Sunday, November 1, 2009. Mr. Wallace was a member of Clarkdale First Baptist Church where he served as choir director for 20 years. He retired from Coats and Clark and then Read Obituary
Harold was one of the most honorable men I have ever met. He served Jesus by helping others and always had a smile and kind word. I was stunned when Debbie called me about his passing. I loved to hear him sing all those special songs and will miss him.My heart goes out to Doris and their family.May God bless and comfort you in this sad time of grief. Love you Doris. When I first visited Clarkdale, Brother Harold was one of the first there to greet me. His pleasant gentle smile was always there and his genuine personal interest for everyone, well . . . Let's just say it like this, "Harold never met a stranger." He lived his testimony for our Lord Jesus right up to his departure into Glory. Just mere minutes after singing a wonderful solo part in the song, "I Want To Stroll Over Heaven", his Redeemer, The Lord Jesus, welcomed Harold home. It was such a shock to come home and have a message on the answering machine about Harold. I could not believe what I was hearing. My heart is breaking for you right now. I will really miss hearing Harold call me Jody Blond.... He is the only one that has ever did that. For as long as I can remember there has been a Doris and Harold. Doris and Greg I know things will really be different for you and I pray for God to stay with you at this time and give you comfort.
