Mr. Gordon Eugene Kitchens, Sr., age 84, died Monday, January 11, 2010. Mr. Kitchens was retired from the Federal Reserve Bank after 48 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty Cecil Kitchens; son, Gordon Ki Read Obituary
To Betty and the entire Kitchen's family: I am so sorry to hear of Gordon's passing. I worked with Gordon in the Service Department for many years and also worked in the Mail Center with him. He was one of my many mentors at the Federal Reserve. He was such a kind and gently person whom I will never forget. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you and the family during this time. I am saddened to hear of Gordon’s death. Gordon and I were coworkers in the General Services Department of Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta for a number of years. Gordon was always so kind and considerate. I always welcomed seeing him at every opportunity (even after his retirement from the bank). My thoughts and prayers are with you.
