Giles had a huge influence on my decision to take instrumental ages as an older adult. His journey with the cello inspired me to re-visit the flute that I had not touched in years. I figured that if he could do it, so could I. I will always be thankful to him for that. I also enjoyed singing with him in the First Presbyterian choir for many years. Giles, foremost, a friend.....the one who visited when my ankle was shattered. Giles, a cello scholar, who loved practicing this instrument with joy and enthusiasm. Giles, a choir member, always faithful. Giles, a companion for breakfast...up with the sun, cheerful and bright. Giles, a music lover, who supported the arts with passion, generosity and a full heart.
