George and I were in love with one another from the time we were both 17 years old. We were best friends first at 16 years old when we were attending Father Lopez High School in Daytona Beach, FL, and became engaged at 17 years old for a few years. Something truly stupid happened and we went our separate ways. I never got over my love of George despite two marriages and I found out when I found him on Facebook approximately 15 years ago that he never got over his love for me despite his two marriages. While the timing with our individual careers never worked out right for us to be together, prior to his hospitalizations this past year he intended to move he and his family to the Jacksonville area. I would have loved it, but God had other plans once again. He always said we would definitely be together in our next life and I will happily wait for him. He was a loving, warm, intelligent, kind, funny man and a bit of a practical joker as well, but all in good hearted fun. I'm so glad I have saved his voice messages all these years so I can at least hear his voice. George called me a few days before he died just to tell me he loves me and I got to tell him I love him one last time. My heart is broken, but I am so happy he is out of pain. He planned and provided for his daughter Dawn, whom he loved so much, and discussed everything he wanted for her with me constantly. He knew his sons could take care of themselves and, of course, he loved them so much as well. Rest in peace my love. I know you are with your mom and dad and probably my dad whom you also loved, but most importantly you are with God, Our Father, and you hurt no more. Once more I want to tell you I love you George with all my heart. Sue
