Gene Driver's Obituary
Mr. Eugene T. "Gene" Driver, age 83 of Marietta, passed away October 24, 2013. Gene was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church since 1965 and was a 50 year member of the Latham Masonic Lodge No. 12. He retired from both Air Products and Lanier Parking at Wellstar Cobb Hospital.
Gene loved his family and is survived by his wife of 60 years, Johnnie Bonner Driver; children, Teresa & Bill Smith of Powder Springs and Randy & Dana Driver of Hiram; grandchildren, Shane & Suzette Smith, Tina & Seth Nixon, Jordan Driver, and Jeremy Driver; great grandchildren, Kayla Smith, Logan Smith, Grace Nixon, Faith Nixon, Abigail Nixon; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4 until 8 PM. The funeral service celebrating Gene's life will be held at Bethany United Methodist Church on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Susan Taylor, Rev. Renfroe Watson, and Rev. Terry Phillips officiating. He will lie in state 1 - 2 PM at the church. Interment will follow the service at Kennesaw Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to Bethany United Methodist Church, 760 Hurt Road, Smyrna, GA 30082.
