I have just heard the sad news. I was a neighbor of Mr. Hicks (or Fred he insisted I call him) for about 10 years before moving in 2016. He was the most kind man and was always willing to help. Whether it was to help me shovel ice off of my driveway or drive my daughter to school because she missed the bus, he was always there to help and never wanted anything in return. I will miss his stories of gardening and beekeeping. My heart goes out to his family. He was truly a great, caring man.
