Mia Elkins!
I am so sadden by this loss. Mrs. Golden was one of the most influential people in my life and likely is a primary reason, outside my parents, for why I was successful in school and generally in life. With heavy hearts I say "until I see you again."
Our dearest loving Faye you will always be in our hearts. We have many fond memories starting at Anderson Air Force Base, Guam, through two weddings of our Christopher and Tiffany. You and Gene provided a lot of fun times together for us and many others. God bless and comfort your family.
Love from Ron, Lydia, Chris, Susan, Morgan, Maddie, Mason, Tiffany, Van, and Gabby.
Our family first met Faye in 1991 when she was our son's 2nd grade teacher at Gloria Dei school in Hampton, VA.. Faye made such a positive influence not only on our son, but our entire family. As a teacher she was so kind and loving of her students, but also produced a business like atmosphere in the classroom. Inspite of moves that separated our lives, we kept contact with her for many years. When our son graduated from medical school Faye and Gene traveled all the way to Missouri to attend. We so enjoyed her spirit, her laugh, her kindness and yes that beautiful smile. We love her , and will miss her, but her memory will always be a part of our family.

I can never forget the light of Christ that always shone from Faye. When we were at church together in Hiram, she made our family feel like we were in her family. I'm praying for you Gene and your family, that the peace of our Lord will be with you in this sad hour.
I cherish my memories of touring western Europe with Faye/Gene and Lydia in 1984. It was three weeks of wonder. Growing up knowing Aunt Faye was a testimony to gracious living. When she cooked, the food was magazine quality as was the table setting. She could entertain and always lent such a loving hand to everything she did. Her flower garden was another wonder to behold. Now she's in heaven's garden with our Lord. We will miss her but will never forget her. She's golden for certain.
My sweet Dandy....I love and miss her so. We had a special and unbreakable bond. She was a rock - my soft place to fall. My sweetest thing...
So sorry for your loss. Faye was a perfect first lady for Christ. I enjoyed having her and Gene as pastor at Hiram. We would talk about nascar on Sunday mornings.Of course this was after Gene's message. God bless and she has her wings. The Lord family.Denny and Sherry , Jessica.
