Dan Frederick Rogers' Obituary
Dan Frederick Rogers, 89, long time resident of Cobb County, died Thursday, April 14, 2016 after an extended illness. Dan, born in Upson County, Georgia moved to Atlanta and worked in several sales positions including Brookfield Uniforms Postal Employee Division when he retired. Dan was predeceased in January by his wife of 68 years, Faye Rogers; parents, Ben and Debra Rogers; siblings Estelle, Kenneth, and Myrtle Rogers; son-in-law, Dr. Michael Reese.
The Rogers were long time members of West End Baptist Church in Atlanta until their move to Austell when they joined and became active members at First Baptist Austell.
Dan is survived by three daughters and their families: Frank and Jane Rogers Ramsdell, Karen Ramsdell Cole, Robbie, Nicole and Ryder Ramsdell; Tommy and Suzanne Rogers Webb, Adam and Karlie Webb, Justin, Nicole and Baby Girl (due in May) Webb, and Rachel Webb; Linda Rogers Reese, Chelsea Reese, and Walker Reese; sister Connie and Ed Storey; brother Barney and Rose Rogers; sister-in-law Judy Nolen; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 18 at 1:00 pm at the Davis-Struempf Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 17 from 5 to 8 pm at the Davis-Struempf Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery.
