Cora Lee Elizabeth Porter, age 93 of Mableton, passed away January 10, 2020. Cora was preceded in death by her son, Charles Porter; grandchild, Kathy Austin; great-grandchild, Amanda Hembree; daughter-in-law, Barbara Porter. Cora Read Obituary
Ms. Cora was such a wonderful minister for the Lord. Her ministry with Cobb Douglas Mental health, serving dinner was such a blessing to so many. The group appreciated this ministry so much. She was such a blessing many times over. Beautiful, shining example of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Miss Cora Lee had the sweetest smile and when she would say "I love you" you felt the warmth of her love.She was such a blessing to all who encountered her. I love you Miss Cora Lee ❤️
Brother Tommy, it is with much sadness to hear about the passing of your sweet mom this morning. It was a Blessing to have known Mrs. Porter and get to be in her presence on Sunday mornings at church. I know she loved her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ with all her heart and with no doubt she is with Jesus in heaven today. You and everyone in the family are truly Blessed to have such an example of what a Christian mom, grandmother and friend should be. I will never forget when not long ago one Sunday morning I sat down beside your sweet mom during our time of greeting and put my arm around her and told her I loved her and in her gentle sweet kind voice she said “I love you too.” Those are the last words I remember her saying to me before her passing and just the way she said it to me they will stick with me forever. May you, Sheree and all the rest of the family be comforted by the power of the great comforter “The Holy Spirit.” Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.

Praying for her family for peace and comfort. Ms. Cora has the sweetest spirit. I will miss and have missed her sweet smile and her sweet tea on our BFC trips. Till we meet again.
