Clyde Milton Vansant, age 98, of Mableton went home to be with the Lord on October 12, 2023. Clyde was born in Douglas County, but lived in multiple parts of the state as a child, including Statesboro and Ringgold. After his fathe Read Obituary
Clyde and Melba were our next door neighbors and good friends in Mableton. We spent many hours talking in the yard and around their kitchen table. We solved many of the world’s problems together :)
Our lives are richer for knowing them.

I am so sorry for your loss! I remember Mr. Vansant when he worked at Southern RR. He was so friendly and had a smile every time I saw him. My mom worked with Nick there and thought highly of both men. May God bless you and comfort you!
