MALATRAY, Mr. Claude Jean Malatray, age 69, of Mableton passed away Saturday, July 21,2007, at 6:27 PM, at home in the presence of his family and friends. Claude was a French-American who loved both countries. He was the loving PaPa for 10 children and countless grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Calude was born in Saint-Leu d’Esserant-Dise France on March 16, 1938, to loving parents. Claude was a real hero to us all. He was a soldier, electrical engineer, physicist, PhD. He was instrumental in bringing Marta Light Rail to Georgia. He worked on the Patriot Missle Guidence Stabilization System. He was also an engineer who worked at various important engineering projects from around the world. Most important of all he said these words, “I love my family, my friends, country and want to be remembered as a loving husband and father.” This he accomplished and he will be sorely missed and remembered. He was an humble and generous man. God blessed this loving, decent Christian man, husband and father. Amen. He was to his wife everything.
