Clark R. Darby's Obituary
Clark R. Darby age 81 of Powder Springs, formerly of Mableton, went to be with his Lord March 24, 2015 surrounded by his family. He served in the U.S. Navy, was employed with the Atlanta Fire Department, retiring as Battalion Chief, Second Battalion in 1984 and was employed as a Real Estate Agent for several years, retiring from Thompson Realty. He spent the last several years dealing in antiques and junk which was his love. Clark was a longtime member and deacon of Calvary Baptist Church in Austell. His greatest pleasure in life was spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his eldest son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Teri Darby. Clark is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Jean Darby; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Robin Darby; grandsons, Todd, Zachery and Patrick Darby; great grandson, Connor Darby. Funeral Services will be held Saturday 11:00 AM, Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Davis Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 4-8 pm at the funeral home.
