Clark R. Darby age 81 of Powder Springs, formerly of Mableton, went to be with his Lord March 24, 2015 surrounded by his family. He served in the U.S. Navy, was employed with the Atlanta Fire Department, retiring as Battalion Chie Read Obituary
I recall walking around the neighborhood with him quite a few times; he was always interesting, never had a bad word to say about anyone and had a quick easy smile whenever I tried to get a laugh out of him. He was one of those rare people that was always interested in what was going on in my life, rather than telling me about his.
My sincere condolence to the Darby family and friends. Clark was an outstanding citizen as many know him to be. He contributed to the well being of other , especially his beloved Jean and his children. There were days when Clark discussed family matters with other s to find out how to please his beloved Jean and how to be a great careing father.
What I especially found to be a great asset for Clark was his love for the Bible. He know this scripture by heart because that where it resided.
"He will swallow up death forever." Isaiah 25:8
Clark expect to be raised from the dead in a world welcomed by loving family and friends . To a world filled with no more death. Death is only a time of rest from pain get ready to welcome Clark back.
