Charles Lamar Skinner's Obituary
Charles Lamar Skinner , age 88 of Powder Springs died Sunday, August 11, 2013. He received a Bachelor's Degree from University of GA, School of Journalism and was the Editor of the Red and Black. Served in US Navy. Managing Director of Georgia Motor Trucking Association for over 40 years . Minister of Music at Orange Hill Baptist Church for over 20 years.
Currently a member of Mt Harmony Baptist Church where he was proud member of the Celebration Choir.
He is survived by his Wife of 64 years, Betty E Skinner;
2 Daughters, Rebecca Nail and Carol Skinner; One Son, William Skinner;
4 grandchildren, Ellen Hunter Hall, Sarah Nail Skelton, Charles Skinner and Anna Lee Skinner; 5 great grandchildren. Charles was preceded in death by daughter, Libby Skinner Hunter and grandson, Matthew Nail. The family will receive friends Wednesday 6-8 pm at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home & Crematory, Austell. Memorial Services will be held Thursday, 11:00 AM at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church. Dr. Randal Whitten officiating.
