Chaize O'Donald Henderson's Obituary
In loving memory of our beloved son, who departed from this world far too soon. Chaize O’Donald Henderson was born to Tiffany Lewis and Donald Henderson. I rushed him into this world on August 24, 2004 and I feel like he rushed out at 19 years old on March 10, 2024. In addition to his grieving parents, Chaize is survived by his brothers, King Wesley Henderson, Murice (Chrissie) White and Brien (Laci) Henderson, his grandmothers who are his biggest fans, Rita Jones and Edvina Henderson, his closest cousins Seth Henderson and Tavarius Jones, close friends and second family Elijah Collett and his parents Nichole and Todd Longacre, his truck club as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members and friends.
His physical presence may no longer grace our lives, but his vibrant spirit and boundless energy continue to resonate within us and the countless lives he touched. Larger than life itself, he lived on his own terms, inspiring both love and occasional annoyance, yet always commanded admiration.
If you spent 30 seconds with Chaize, you would likely find out about his love for football, cooking, boxing and how he is the best at it all. You would learn about his brothers, what his parents do or all of the above. Conversations were never an issue. One thing that was hard for him to talk about was his desire to be accepted but he expressed it in so many other ways. He faced the challenges of bullying in his youth yet he emerged with a heart as resilient as it was compassionate, a testament to his inner strength and beauty. He knew how to be ugly like any of us, but he radiated a presence that was as captivating as it was endearing. He was generous even to the undeserving whether giving away all of our food or having us buy enough fruit and snacks for whatever team he was on whether football, basketball, track or swim. He regularly offered my services without my knowledge and was always there to help until it was time to do the dishes.
Chaize, you were a constant source of support for countless individuals, many of whom may not have realized the extent of your impact until now. Your ultimate sacrifice for your friend serves as a resounding testament to the unwavering loyalty and love that defined you, ensuring that those who were unaware now understand the magnitude of your kindness and dedication. We are proud of you…your work ethic and dedication for prioritizing the things and people you loved. Thank you to any and everyone who created a space of acceptance for who he was. May we all prioritize the loves in our lives.
Reminding you that our souls never die, our spirits live forever. How has Chaize impacted your life? What will you do about it?
