Chaize (Prince to almost all) was truly special. I was honored beyond belief to be called White Dad. (inside joke that become just Dad shortly) The story about how ran to get to my wife is quite fitting as he ran straight into our hearts. He was in our home more times I than I could ever count. He would make his rounds hugging me, my wife, check Emma’s room to see if she was over, lastly to Ej. The moment he learnt that I had a few bbq championships under my belt thanks to a great team I was on. He immediately latched and wanted to compete. His sauces were amazing and I wanted him to join the team, that spot will never be filled for it his and I will bring home those titles in his name. I can’t thank him enough for being a hero, I can’t begin to express my love for the man he was, though my heart its broken I find peace in knowing he is racing around testing out the speed of his wings, and in Gods kitchen making meals for the ages, and thrilled that it’s always football season in heaven.
