Candace Marie Brisbane, daughter of the late Alton Warren Brisbane, Sr. and Geneva Brisbane, was born in Dayton, Ohio, December 9, 1959. She moved with her family to Yellow Springs, Ohio in 1961 and graduated from Yellow Springs H Read Obituary
Candace and I shared a love for gardening and several years ago she expressed a desire for a magnolia tree. I told her not to buy one as we had 2 gigantic magnolias which occasionally generate young saplings in our yard. We were so happy to share one with her. Linwood dug it up and we delivered it to her house with an offer to plant it for her but she wanted to do the job herself. We will always remember the strength and determination she showed in battling the disease that finally took her life. We miss her sweet presence among us at Light of Hope and are grateful that God allowed us the privilege of serving Christ together as elders at Southminster Presbyterian Church and more recently the new Light of Hope Presbyterian Church. Our hearfelt sympathies are extended to all of her family and to Geneva we say a special prayer that grief may soon be replaced with peace and good memories of a special daughter as you journey through the difficult days ahead.

In the short time that I knew Candace, she always had a smile and kind words. I remember our trip to Amicalola Falls a few years ago and the fun we shared. As I recall she won the bake off contest for some amazing brownies .
She will be missed by many family and friends . Praise be to God as we celebrate her life and memory.
Geneva and family - I am so sorry for your loss. Candace fought a long, hard battle of which her strength was an inspiration to many. Her beautiful smile, soft spoken voice, behind-the-scenes reliability (even during all her struggles) and quiet demeanor will surely be missed. May God hold you tight thru this time of grief.

Candace was the elder in charged when my grandson Jarod was baptized over at the Presbyterian Village in Austell. And I rode with her to Canton when we attended the funeral of Earl Lavender at Georgia Veterans Cementery in Canton Georgia. We were family church members at Southminster and later Light of Hope. I loved the friendship we shared
