For the record, if after all these years it means anything, my mother Rosa Floye Hughie, Buddy Hughie's aunt, loved Bobbie as if Bobbie were her own daughter and I loved Bobbie as a friend. Buddy my first cousin was a friend of mine and for a time I was a fellow Methodist pastor with him. Mother said to me once, "Bobbie is Buddy's anchor." She was a special person, indeed. She blessed my life once, in a way that even now I cannot share because of vows of confidence. When Buddy and Bobbie gave their word of confidentiality, it was written in granite. Maybe if I out live the "co-conspirators" one day I will tell the story. If not, that's okay.
