Brother Billy will be missed by this "hillbilly preacher". He was the man that led me to a saving knowledge of my Lord Jesus Christ on April 30, 1978 at Kings Road
Baptist Church in Riverdale Ga. He was a man of convictions and he lived his life accordingly. Absent from the body and present with the Lord, he is now in the presence of the one that he loved and labored for. My heart goes out to Pat, Starry, Judy, and Tim I know that your hearts are breaking today, but soon they will be filled with joy. When the trump sounds and the voice of the archangel and the Lord says "come up hither" then he will bring Billy with him. Well Done Billy, Well Done.

Such a sweet and faithful servant to his God, his family and all those who knew him. Preacher Billy was a precious soul and I know the angels are rejoicing. My heart is with your heart, holding the broken pieces. I love you all.
Brother Billy was not only our Pastor for many years but, a true friend and one of the best examples of a Christian. Not once in all the many years that we have known him did he ever do anything but what the Lord directed him to do. I will miss his smiling face and hearing him sing and play the guitar. I know where you are Brother Billy and I know you and all the others that went before you are rejoicing and singing that new song. I know that one day I will join you there and I also know that you, Gary and many other loved ones will be waiting to greet me.
Bro. Billy will be greatly missed. He was such a blessing to all, especially to the members of Pine Grove Baptist Church. Billy was a faithful and dedicated minister and Bible teacher. Everybody loved to hear him sing. He sang from his heart and with praise to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was looking forward to seeing his Savior and is now resting from his labor. I believe the Lord will say, "Bro. Billy, you fought a good fight, you finished your course and you kept the faith." There is laid up for him a crown of righteousness, because he was looking for the appearing of his Lord, or for his homegoing - which ever came first. He was ready. I want to express my condolences to the entire family. I love all of you. You are a blessing to me. God will give you grace for this present time. He is faithful. Betty Wallace
