Ann Miers Wilson of Duluth, GA peacefully passed away February 13 in hospice care. Ann was raised in Powder Springs and graduated from Powder Springs High School. She attended Georgia College (GA State), worked at 1st National Ban Read Obituary
My sincerest sorrows are for Steve Wilson, Steve Miers, and the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you. My heart aches for you and with you more than you know. My comfort comes in knowing she has been released from the bounds of the earth and is in the presence of her Lord and Savior along with her siblings I miss so dearly.
My fondest memories with my dear aunt have to do with a few excursions to find the most excellent bar-b-cue. We traveled together a couple of times when I was fortunate enough to receive her hospitality during my college years. She opened her home to me without question or concern. We talked about bar-b-cue places, sauces, and recipes and laughed a great deal over the years. She was so good at finding humor in just about anything. What a joy it was to go "play with" Ann, as she would say. Her thoughtfulness, generosity, and humor will be a fond memory for a long time.
Ann was so kind and considerate as she was an active participant in the lives of her extended family. She brought a festive aire to any occassion with Christmas punch in her cut glass punch bowl or an excersion to unkown parts of Tennessee looking for a family grave. We never did find that grave but it was a fun trip anyway.
I lift Steve Wilson and Steve Miers up in prayer with the consolation that those who walk with Christ never walk alone. May the peace of His love be with you in your heart as I stand beside you in grief.
I rejoice knowing that Ann is reunited with her sweetheart, Jimmy Wilson, in the true presence of Christ. I will see you again sweet Ann. Until then, I will thank God for having known you and your generous heart.
