Alton M. T. Robbins, 92, of Smyrna, formerly of Mableton, Georgia died Thursday, September 12, 2013. Alton is preceded in death by his late wife, Dorothy (Reeves) Robbins, his parents, John and Ora (Foster) Robbins, and his three Read Obituary
Papa made such an impact on the lives of those around him and his sweet spirit will be missed on this earth. I'm very glad to know that his sweet spirit has gone on to Heaven where he has a new body and a new life. I can imagine that he might be sprinting through Heaven right now (something that his feeble body could no longer do here) and is eating the finest meals (like the ones he used to enjoy that Granny cooked for him) but no longer was able to eat on this earth. I anticipate running into his arms and giving him a big him (sprinting -no doubt - myself) when I get there, but will enjoy sweet memories of him while still on this side of heaven. We love you Papa! So sorry to hear of his passing. Was always a pleasant and caring person. Will always rememeber his smile. He was one of the first people I met when I came to New Hope. Had many good conversations with him. Saying a prayer for the family, I know he will be missed. Dale Evans

Sorry about the loss of Mr. Alton. I've got so many fond memories of him and Granny as a child from New Hope and them being apart of "our family" (Papa ringing the Sunday School bell, both of them cooking Saturday morning breakfast - he always cooked the bacon, and our Christmas Eve's togethers). Papa always had a loving spirit about him and will truly be missed!
