Zelma Pauline Wallace age 81 of Powder Springs passed away April 27, 2020. Zelma was a member of Faith Baptist Temple and retired from Bell South. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doc Wallace and daughter, Cynthia Golden Read Obituary
I wish I had met her sooner so I could have enjoyed her longer! What a blessing to get to know her -- even just a little bit.

Jenny and family, what a beautiful and sweet service. Zelma would be so pleased. You shared her life story and her abiding faith in her Savior and our Lord Jesus Christ. Zelma and I met at Austell School some 70 years ago. We cultivated a friendship that as lasted a lifetime. A friendship of compassion, encouragement when one was down and laughter. It was a shock, losing Zelma. She was my friend and mentor, many years at BellSouth, and after we retired. She coached me through my lung cancer surgery in 2013 and through my hip replacements surgeries Feb. and July 2018 {we shared Dr. Sacks on that}, and she always checked on me, and the others. She was our leader/manager for our Retired Operators Group. I don't see how we can hold that group together without her. She had a beautiful heart, generous and kind to all. We all loved her dearly. I am so thankful to have known her and have her as my friend.
Zelma touched so many lives. Including mine. She made my day everytime she came through my drive-through at the bank. And usually had someone with her and they were going to lunch. Or she was taking somebody a cake she had baked. She was one of the kindest and sweetest ladies I have ever known. I will always remember her and love her. I worked with Zelma at southern bell and the first time i saw her I felt as if I had known her many years. She was always nice to everyone. For many years i lost contact with her until my mom passed away. my aunt brought her to the funeral home not knowing she was my aunts sister n law. That's when i was reconnected with her and several other ladies that had worked with. zelma i loved you and you will be missed so dearly. Fairwell to you Zelma.
Zelma was as unique as her name! She was sweet, kind, loving and a spit-fire. She was my dear friend and I love her. Spending time with her was a time of laughter and fun. She was kind and giving to everyone. Our mother, Hazel Kelly was fortunate to have such a wonderful friend. She will be missed by so many, but left so many with wonderful memories to cherish.
