When I think of Sister Wilma, my memories when I first met
her in the early 70’s at
True Gospel Baptist Church…
such a sweet Lady who welcomed everyone.
Later in the 80’s and in the 90’s... we were at True Gospel together.
Tommy and I really got to know her.
She was so smart, so loving and so giving and a wonderful blessing!
She was always at church, very dedicated.
I asked her didn’t she sing in a group in the 70’s…and she said yes.
I thought I remembered her singing.
She was so sick around the time she was going to retired,
and God gave her many, many years.
She was a walking miracle.
The last couple of years, she told me she was having health issues
She truly was a wonderful, sweet blessing in our life.
She said Liz and Margaret were like her sisters.
Their families always seemed so close.
We as Christians can always believe and count on this scripture:
For we know if our earthly house of this tabernacle were
dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made
with hands, eternal in the heavens.
What a consolation!!
Good night to Sister Wilma, not good bye.
We will meet her again on that eternal day!
Love and prayers for her family she left behind.
