After Six Flags Over Georgia opened in 1967, it became an instant success. There were a number of reasons why and one of those was Wilma Ashcraft. She was Administrative Assistant to the General Managers and a guiding force for all the young G.M.'s, including myself. She continued to be a guiding force in her own family by opening a successful catering business to teach her sons, Tony and James, how to be successful in business. In addition, she served as a role model to her daughter, Melinda, who became one of the most successful G.M.'s in the Six Flags system. Wilma's fingerprints are on virtually all of the good things that happened with her family, SFOG, her catering business and Melinda's successful career.
Without doubt, Wilma left the world a better place than she found it. She will be greatly missed.

From Sandy: The world has lost a beautiful lady, who is loved by all who knew her. I'm privileged to have known her and to call her friend.
