William Steve Whitmire Jr.'s Obituary
William “Bill” Steve Whitmire, Jr, age 84, of Douglasville passed away March 27, 2018. Bill was a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Bill is survived by his wife of 63 years, Annette Alley Whitmire; sons, Timothy Whitmire of Douglasville, and William Keith Whitmire of Temple; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 30, 2:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Rev. Randal Whitten officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Bill’s name to the Alzheimer’s Fund at alz.org or Mt. Harmony Baptist Church Building Fund.
