William Elder O'Shields' Obituary
William Elder O’Shields, age 83, of Mableton passed away February 8, 2021. William was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman and will now be telling his fish stories in Heaven. William was a devoted brother and friend who will be dearly missed.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Claud and Ellen O’Shields; brother, Albert O’Shields; and sister, Wilhnemina Keller. He is survived by his brothers, Robert O’Shields of Carroll County, James O’Shields of Mableton, John (Frances) O’Shields of Mableton, and Carl O’Shields of Mableton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, February 11th, 11:00 AM at Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:15 AM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in William’s name be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation at alz.org or the American Cancer Society at cancer.org/
